Phelan & Macefield have been writing & performing music together since they were kids. They played together in a number of acts over the years, including Brave New Works in the early 80's.

Macefield is a gifted poet and Phelan an accomplished composer and arranger, and the chance to work with his lifelong friend on another project was too good to refuse.

This album brings together the gritty urban poetry of Macefield's lived experience with Phelan's lush blues guitar & soul sensibility. This album will keep your Dancing Days going...unless you've heard that one before...
